About Open Source Creative

A weekly podcast where I ramble about creativity, process, and open source software.

This is the home of the Open Source Creative Podcast, a weekly podcast where I ramble about creativity, process, and open source software. The road to creative freedom starts with open source. I truly believe that.

The show feature in-depth discussion about the nature of open source software and how it relates to doing creative work. And interviews! There are interviews now. Also, fair warning, I tend to use profanity. So if you’re sensitive to that, listen with the volume turned lower.

Intro and outro music was shamelessly pilfered from the very talented Sam Brubaker.

Of course, that’s just the start of things. Ultimately, this site is going to be home to much more than just the podcast. Videos, books, and perhaps even a blog post or two are all on the table. It’s just a matter of time before they get shuffled over here. Hold on to your hats. It’s going to be a fun ride.

“I make stuff. I make stuff up. On occasion, I stuff-up what I make. I don’t do much stuff with make-up… though I’m not above trying. I work in all kinds of media: words, animation, ink, coffee, wood, video. And, of course, I’m really passionate about open source and open content, so that’s what I talk about in this show. Books I’ve written and other creative experiments I’ve made can be seen on monsterjavaguns.com.”
